Future Green Irrigation thanks all those that visited our booth at the 2012 Home & Lifestyle Show in Markham, Ontario.

We want to thank the many people who came by with their questions and concerns and who kept Jeff Valley and Shawn Gill busy for the whole weekend of the show – we’re passionate about our work and always happy to pass along our expertise in commercial and residential irrigation and lawn sprinkler systems.

Many people also took advantage of our early spring specials, including a free rain sensor for those who book their sprinkler system installations before May 31, 2012.
It’s only just starting up, but it’s never too early in the season to think about lawn sprinkler efficiency. An efficient lawn sprinkler system means you’re paying attention to water conservation issues, which means saving water – and your money too.

Lawn Sprinkler System Design
Naturally, sprinkler efficiency begins with a great design that takes the individual characteristics of the terrain and plant requirements into account. That’s where Future Green Irrigation comes in. With three decades of experience designing and installing irrigation and lawn sprinkler systems, including many of the fine golf courses in the GTA and beyond, we’ll find the perfect solution for your lawn and garden care issues.

Lawn Sprinkler Maintenance
Once an appropriately designed lawn sprinkler system has been installed, proper maintenance will ensure that the system is operating at an efficient level.
Here are some easy tips to help maintain sprinkler efficiency:
•    Inspect your system on a regular basis, checking for leaks, blocked sprinkler heads and other issues that can affect the spray
•    Clean the sprinkler heads so that they spray in the desired pattern
•    Adjust your watering schedule to the conditions – sometimes, summer in Southern Ontario is wet and cooler, at others it rivals the steamy tropics, so your sprinkler schedule should reflect that
•    Watering in the morning hours is the most efficient – it’s cooler outside and the sun is low – in the hot sun of the afternoon the water can evaporate and at night, whatever remains wet can encourage bacteria, flies and fungus growth.

Our sprinkler systems are designed with water conservation and efficiency in mind. This means your system is sustainable, ensuring availability of water for future generations and energy conservation in the water pumping, delivery and wastewater processing. Homeowners find their water bill goes down even as their green space becomes more full, vibrant and lush.
